We are pleased to announce the introduction of an aliphatic topcoat to our RLA solvent-based polyurethane (PU) membrane product range, specifically designed to enhance UV stability and prolong the aesthetic longevity of the PU 850 membrane system. The updated system features two distinct primers: the RLA PU Primer, tailored for porous surfaces, and the RLA Moisture Seal, which provides effective protection for damp environments.
Principal waterproof system RLA PU850 has also been enhanced and is suitable for a broad range of applications.
It is important to note that the PU 850 membrane is not suitable for fully exposed applications on its own and requires the application of the RLA ATC Top Coat for optimal performance.
The RLA ATC Top Coat delivers improved UV protection, ensuring exceptional durability and colour retention, even in harsh sunlight. Its superior flexibility allows for a seamless, crack-resistant finish while accommodating surface movements.
Additionally, the RLA ATC Top Coat provides excellent chemical resistance, protecting the underlying membrane from aggressive substances and thereby extending its lifespan. Designed for rapid drying, this product facilitates quicker project completion and minimises operational downtime. It can be easily applied with a brush, roller, or squeegee, providing great convenience for users. Furthermore, its puncture resistance creates a robust surface that can effectively withstand light foot traffic and minor impacts.
