WHY USE A PRIMER?

DEFINITION
A Primer conditions a substrate for the further application of a coating / adhesive.

The use of priming is vital for the following reasons:

  1. Settles dust
  2. Inhibits adhesive soaking into the subfloor. This is particularly important for pressure sensitive adhesives such as Roberts 656
  3. Increases spread rates
  4. Enhances bond strengths

Note: The use of Roberts 370 Floor & Wall Primer will, in the long run,
save the contractor money
